Chasen Garrett

Founding Principal, Chasen Garrett, was born and raised in and around Fort Smith. His love of the area brought him back to Fort Smith after graduating from the University of Arkansas Fay Jones School of Architecture. Founded in 2006, the firm has had several areas of focus in years since. “While hospitality was the focus for my firm for many years, I have always thought of this office as a hospitality firm with a focus in architecture.”, says Chasen, “service and hospitality are especially important to me. “

Chasen’s father was an engineer, and his mother was an interior designer, but his love of buildings came from joining his home-building grandfather on site visits to construction projects in eastern Oklahoma. “The smell of lumber, picking up nails, and seeing the project go from a drawing to someone's home were sensory lessons that have stuck with me through the years. I am a nostalgic guy and I love great, traditional aspects of our culture.”

Chasen and his wife, Ana, live in the River Valley with their son Gabriel, and their daughter Isabella. They enjoy growing in their respective professions, spending time with family, growing mentally, physically, and spiritually as they balance mind, body, and spirit, building their relationships with God and those in their church family, and exploring the natural environment together outdoors.

Jennifer Hart

Senior Project Architect Jennifer Hart has experienced many sizes and types of projects in her 20 years of working in architecture.  Her primary area of design focus has been in healthcare and medical facilities.  For 15 years Jennifer served the medical design needs of several native American tribes of Oklahoma.  Jennifer excels at planning and relishes her opportunities to serve clients during the programming and planning phases of design. Her skill in carrying projects through all phases of design and construction administration is highly valued within the firm.

Jennifer’s interest of architecture began while taking drafting courses in junior high school.  After completing her Bachelor of Architecture degree at the University of Arkansas she returned to her hometown of Fort Smith to make her mark in the city that she loves.  Jennifer is a licensed architect, and she holds memberships in the American Institute of Architects, the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, and the Congress for New Urbanism.  

Jennifer and her husband, Dustin, live in south Fort Smith and have two young daughters.  Outside of work, she enjoys reading, boating and spending time with her family.

Alex Sharum

Senior Project Manager and Director of Visualization Alex Sharum brings life into our projects through the digital visualization process.  with a Bachelor of Applied Science and his background in CADD, BIM, and rendering software of various types, Alex has been bringing CBGA projects to life for well over a decade.  By harnessing various techniques and technologies, Alex helps the firm, and our clients realize the magic of design before it is ever constructed.  Architectural visualization is very important in conveying design concepts to our clients so that they understand these ideas and provide accurate feedback to our work.  Alex wears many hats in the office and clients are often fortunate to have him in the role of project manager as well.  His attention to detail serves the architecture industry very well.

Alex and his wife, Kellye, have two you boys and a daughter on the way. When he is not creating amazing visualizations, Alex enjoys spending time with his family hiking and chasing Arkansas waterfalls.

Cristin Sayavong

After graduating from the University of Central Arkansas with a degree in Interior Design, Cristin returned to her hometown to benefit her own community as she pursues her professional goals and design interests.  As she fills her role in the design field, she works to bring new meaning and visions to the diverse range of projects crossing her design desk.  In her off time, Cristin enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and propagating plants, as well as capturing all those experiences through her love of photography.
