After graduating from the E. Fay Jones School of Architecture at the University of Arkansas, Chasen returned to Fort Smith to help the River Valley flourish. He spent several years with respected firms in the area before starting Chasen Garrett Architects in 2007.

The firm has worked across many project types over the years, but the central thesis of our mission has been Service and Hospitality. We strive to bring those values to every project and typology.

Chasen is licensed in Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, and Arizona, and is a member of the AIA, NCARB, USGBC, ULI, the National Town Builders Association, and the Congress for the New Urbanism.

He and his wife Ana live in the River Valley with their kids, Gabriel and Isabella. Faith and a shared commitment to growth guide how they live and work.

For nearly two decades, Alex has led projects from early design through detailed documentation, with a focus on clarity, coordination, and buildable solutions. As the firm's Visualization Director, he brings projects to life digitally before ground is ever broken — using rendering, modeling, and visualization tools to help clients see and feel a building before it exists. That ability to make the intangible tangible is one of the most valuable things an architect can offer, and few do it better.

His attention to detail, calm presence, and genuine investment in every project make him an excellent project-team leader.

Alex is a licensed architect in Oklahoma and a member of the American Institute of Architects and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. He and his wife Kellye have two boys and a daughter, and when he isn't producing visualizations, he's likely out hiking and chasing Arkansas waterfalls with the family.

Jennifer's interest in architecture started in a junior high drafting class — an early sign of the precision-minded instinct that has defined her career ever since. After earning her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Arkansas, she returned home to Fort Smith and spent more than twenty years making her mark on the city she loves.

For fifteen of those years, her practice focused almost entirely on healthcare and medical facility design, including an extended stretch serving several Native American tribes in Oklahoma. That work demanded technical rigor and a narrow margin for error, and it shaped her into one of the most technically accomplished architects in the area.

More recently, Jennifer has expanded into multifamily housing, where her planning discipline and coordination skills translate naturally to complex residential developments. She excels in the programming and planning phases — where a project's success is often determined before anyone touches a drawing set — and carries that same care through construction administration.

Jennifer is a licensed architect and a member of the American Institute of Architects and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. She and her husband Dustin live in south Fort Smith with their two daughters and two dogs. Outside the office, she enjoys reading, boating, and time with her family.

Enrique came to architecture by way of construction — and that background gives him something most architecture school graduates spend years developing: an instinctive sense of how buildings are built. Born in Mexico, he earned his degree in Architecture from the University of Arkansas, and he reads drawings not just as design documents but as instructions to a builder.

That fluency between design intent and construction reality makes him a valuable voice at every stage of a project. Where others see a design challenge, Enrique sees a problem to solve. "Every project presents unique challenges that require me to think critically and innovatively," he says. "I take joy in finding solutions that exceed expectations."

For Enrique, architecture is the chance to translate ideas into spaces that shape how people move through and experience the world — a balance of artistic expression and technical precision. He is an intern architect currently testing for his licensure in Arkansas.

Ray grew up in the Netherlands, earned two degrees in Game Art, and came to Arkansas to be with his wife, Chrissy. The tools that build immersive digital worlds and the tools that visualize architecture have converged, and Ray arrived at that intersection fully fluent.

Since joining Chasen Garrett Architects in 2021, he has worked in Revit, D5 Render, Lumion, Unreal Engine, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro to create visuals that show not just what a building will look like, but what it will feel like. His design background trained his eye for light, materiality, scale, proportion, and atmosphere in ways that inform and support the architecture, and the result is a visualizer who approaches each project as a storyteller as much as a technician.

Ray and Chrissy live in Alma with their two cats, Tobii and Miyah. Ray is a pianist, a dedicated gamer with a love for sci-fi, fantasy, and history, and someone who is fascinated by cryptocurrency, space, and the unknown.

Ana brings a wide-ranging background to Chasen Garrett Architects. Born and raised outside Guadalajara, Mexico, she holds a BA in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from the University of Guadalajara, a master's degree in Spanish from the University of Arkansas, and a PhD in Spanish from the University of Kansas.

A teacher at heart, Ana has taught at several colleges and universities over the years. That same instinct for clear communication and care for the people around her shapes her work at the firm, where she keeps the office running, welcomes clients, and makes sure the team has what it needs.

Ana lives in Fort Smith with her husband Chasen and their two children, Gabriel and Isabella.
